modaprima – Florence, 26 to 28 may
After the success of the November 2011 edition, the 72nd ModaPrima will be held from 26 – 28 May 2012 in one of the most beautiful places in Florence, the Stazione Leopolda, the large 19th century railway station that, in recent years, has become one of the most functional venues for contemporary exhibition projects.
The fair, featuring ready-to-wear men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, will be presenting the collections for spring-summer 2013, with a focus on the bestsellers for fall-winter 2012/2013.
ModaPrima – that has now become the international market’s reference trade fair for fast fashion and medium-and-large-scale retailers – will be showcasing around 120 brands, produced by some of the best Italian firms specializing in this segment.
The last edition of Modaprima – the first to be held in Florence – welcomed a total of 1,600 buyers, 700 of which came from over 50 different countries (led by Japan, followed by Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Russia, Canada, Belgium, Greece, France, Belarus, Germany, Ireland, Hong Kong, Finland and Switzerland).
The brands attending this edition include: ANGELA F., BIANCA MARIA CASELLI, CLUB VOLTAIRE, CORREALE CASHMERE, CRISTINA CHITI, DANIVE’, FLYLINE, ITALIANLINE, NA.PA’ GIRLS, NUOVI SARTI, ORO PAGODA, PAOLA DAVOLI, TITAZEN, YUMA and ZANETTI.
Modaprima’s intense internationalization strategy that aims to increase the participation
of foreign buyers by bringing over delegations from both emerging and traditional markets will focus at this edition on buyers from the United States, Canada, Germany, Russia, Greece, Austria, Denmark, Japan, Korea, Ukraine, Finland, Belgium, Holland and the Baltic.
“ModaPrima has become an international reference point for quality fast fashion and, like Pitti, we are focusing on the central position and international appeal of Florence in terms of image as well as in order give the event a more energetic boost.”
